Family contact Supervisor - Cardiff

Zero Hours Contract - Mainly Weekdays 3-6pm and weekends

Contract: This is initially a temporary position for 6 months, with the potential to become permanent subject to business needs and performance.

\n An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Swan Family as a Family Contact Supervisor.

\n

As part of our dynamic, child-focused team, youll play a vital role in supporting and supervising family time between children and their birth families both in our centres and out in the community. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where every day youll be helping to build safer, more positive family connections.

What Youll Be Doing

\n
    \n
  • Coordinating and supervising family contact sessions in a safe, supportive environment
  • \n
  • Observing and recording sessions with accuracy and professionalism
  • \n
  • Liaising with social workers and escalating any safeguarding concerns promptly
  • \n
  • Transporting and escorting children and young people to and from contact sessions
  • \n
  • Writing clear, factual reports within set timescales
  • \n
  • Attending planning meetings, reviews, and training sessions
  • \n
  • Following Swan Familys safeguarding policies at all times
  • \n
\n

  • \n
  • Excellent communicators, able to remain calm and non-judgemental
  • \n
  • Skilled in observation and confident in report writing
  • \n
  • Able to manage challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism
  • \n

Essential:

\n
    \n
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Children and Young People Workforce or related field
  • \n
  • A valid DBS check for working with children and adults (we can help you apply if needed)
  • \n
\n

Desirable:

\n
    \n
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own car
  • \n
\n
