KS1 English Tutor
\n\nInspire a Love of Learning from the Start
\nWe're looking for a KS1 English Tutor to support young learners across Portsmouth, Southampton, and the surrounding Hampshire areas through personalised 1:1 tuition.
\nWorking on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll help primary-aged children develop their early literacy skills, confidence, and engagement with learning. Many of the pupils we support require a more tailored approach to education and benefit from consistent, positive support outside of a traditional classroom setting.
\nThis role is ideal for education professionals who enjoy working with younger children and making a meaningful impact during the early stages of their educational journey.

- Subject: KS1 English \n
- Start Date: September \n
- Hours: Flexible \n
- Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour \n
- Type: 1:1 Tuition \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles \n
- Experience supporting KS1 pupils \n
- Strong understanding of early literacy and English development \n
- Ability to deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities \n
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable \n
- Patient, nurturing, and encouraging approach \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills \n
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one \n
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Portsmouth, Southampton, and surrounding areas \n

Your support will help children build confidence in their reading, writing, phonics, and communication skills while fostering a positive attitude towards learning.
