\n\nSupport Young Learners to Build Confidence and Thrive
\nWe're looking for a Primary Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to children across Portsmouth, Southampton, and the surrounding Hampshire areas.
\nWorking on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll support primary-aged learners who require alternative educational provision or additional support outside of a mainstream classroom environment. Some pupils may be working below age-related expectations, while others may need help re-engaging with education following periods of absence or other barriers to learning.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for education professionals who enjoy creating engaging learning experiences and helping young children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

- Key Stage: Primary \n
- Start Date: September \n
- Hours: Flexible \n
- Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour \n
- Type: 1:1 Tuition \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles \n
- Experience supporting primary-aged children \n
- Good understanding of the primary curriculum \n
- Ability to adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs \n
- Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills \n
- Patient, positive, and engaging approach \n
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one \n
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Portsmouth, Southampton, and surrounding areas \n

- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) \n
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs \n
- ADHD \n
- Anxiety and school avoidance \n
- Speech, language, and communication needs \n
- EHCPs and additional learning needs \n
Every child is different, so tutors should be comfortable adapting their approach to suit individual strengths, interests, and goals.
