\nEnglish Functional Skills Tutor
\nLocation: College-based with online delivery requirementsContract: Temporary with potential for a permanent opportunityHours: Flexible working hours requiredSalary: from £25 per hour
\nWe are seeking an experienced and adaptable English Functional Skills Tutor to join a growing team delivering Functional Skills English to apprenticeship learners.
\nThis role involves delivering engaging and effective teaching both face-to-face at the College and online, so candidates must be confident using digital learning platforms as well as creating positive classroom learning environments.
\nEnglish is delivered in two-week blocks, covering all key aspects of the Functional Skills curriculum, including:

- Reading \n
- Writing \n
- Speaking & Listening \n
Online delivery arrangements will be discussed further during the recruitment process.
\nThe Role
\n- \n
- Deliver Functional Skills English to apprenticeship groups. \n
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet a range of learner needs. \n
- Support learners to achieve their Functional Skills qualifications. \n
- Track learner progress and provide timely feedback. \n
- Adapt delivery methods for both classroom-based and remote learning environments. \n
- Motivate and engage apprentices to achieve positive outcomes. \n
Requirements;
\n- \n
- Experience delivering Functional Skills English. \n
- Experience teaching both in-person and online. \n
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, or equivalent). \n
- Strong communication and organisational skills. \n
- Experience working with apprentices or adult learners. \n
- The ability to travel to the College and flexibility with working hours. \n
- A learner-focused approach and passion for helping individuals succeed. \n
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed.
