\nReed FE are seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance and Pastoral Officer to support learners in achieving their full potential through improved attendance, positive behaviours and effective pastoral support.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Monitor and promote student attendance, supporting the achievement of attendance targets. \n
- Build positive, professional relationships with learners to understand and address barriers to learning. \n
- Develop and implement action plans to improve attendance and engagement. \n
- Identify and support learners who may be at risk of disengagement. \n
- Work directly with students in classrooms and communal areas to encourage participation in learning. \n
- Support intervention meetings with students and, where appropriate, parents/carers. \n
Essential Requirements

- Experience supporting young people or learners to overcome barriers to education and achievement. \n
- Knowledge of mental health, wellbeing and factors that can impact learner engagement. \n
- Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent). \n
- Educated to Level 3 standard (A-Level, BTEC, NVQ or equivalent). \n
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
