Are you a Qualfied Audit Senior looking for an opportunity with a large reputable firm who offers growth, progression and excellent benefits?
\nWe are delighted to be partnering with a successful Practice with sites across the North East who, due to continued growth, are seeking a Qualified Audit Senior to join their existing team in either Newcastle or Durham.
\nThe role:
\n- \n
- Manage and deliver statutory audits from planning through to completion, including leading on-site audit teams where required. \n
- Use digital audit tools and systems to drive efficiency, accuracy, and insight across engagements. \n
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and supporting them with audit-related queries. \n
- Review work completed by junior team members and offer guidance, coaching and feedback to support their development. \n
- Collaborate closely with managers, senior managers and partners to ensure high-quality audit delivery. \n
- Complete assignments in line with internal quality standards and support continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Participate in departmental discussions, contributing ideas to enhance audit processes and team performance. \n
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through ongoing CPD. \n
- Attend client sites predominantly across the North-East and Yorkshire. \n
Person Specification:
\nEssential
\n- \n
- ACA or ACCA qualified. \n
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses and SMEs. \n
- Strong experience delivering or leading audits. \n
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident with clients across all formats. \n
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy. \n
- Strong IT capability, including Excel and audit-related software. \n
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to use initiative. \n
- Ability to travel to client sites as required. \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Experience with software such as Sage, QuickBooks Online, and Xero. \n
- Sector experience including charities, academies or legal practices. \n
- Experience with Iris, Caseware or MyWorkPapers \n
