They are committed to providing practical, cost-effective engineering solutions and have a multi-disciplined international team of skilled engineers and designers complemented by associates with diverse specialist skills and experience.We are looking for a Project Engineer with a can-do attitude to join their team. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates and particularly encourage applications from ex-military personnel.Key Responsibilities:

• Examining the engineering requirements of designs and comparing these with the commercial and site constraints.
\n
• Managing suppliers & service providers and keeping track of project programme.
\n
• Maintaining cost control for projects and their individual elements.
\n
• Assisting in the supervision of pipe testing and inspection of civil engineering structures.
\n
• Liaison between designers, site staff/contractors and the management team.
\n
• Know the sequence of jobs (in the office) and pre-empt the need for information/client input.
\n
• Work as part of a team to suggest improvements which will benefit our clients.
\n

Work schedule:

\n
• Regular travel and overnight stays to remote sites.
\n
• Weekend work may be required occasionally.
\n
• Paid overtime.
\n
• Typical work cycle 5.5 / 7, or 11 / 14.
\n

Qualifications & Skills:

\n
• A higher-level engineering qualification (BTEC, HND, Degree) – likely to be Mechanical or Electrical but would consider Civil.
\n
• Site experience such as installation and commissioning is desirable.
\n
• A good knowledge of engineering quantities and programmes.
\n
• Good ability with engineering calculations and design reports.
\n
• 4 years+ experience with a contractor or engineering consultancy would be beneficial.
\n
• Able to work within a dynamic environment with good attention to detail.
\n
• Able to work to tight deadlines and self-manage priorities against multiple tasks.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
\n
• Proactive and ability to be flexible in a changing environment.
\n
• Able to work independently, under pressure and in remote areas.
\n
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
\n
• A full driving licence.
\n
