\nAre you an experienced Toolmaker with hands-on experience of pre-pierce and cut-off tooling?
\nWe're recruiting for an established manufacturing business in Oldbury who are looking to add an experienced Toolmaker to their team.
\nThis is a hands-on toolroom position supporting a busy manufacturing operation, with responsibility for the manufacture, maintenance, repair and fault finding of tooling to ensure production runs efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum.
The Role\nYou'll be responsible for:

- Manufacturing, maintaining and repairing production tooling \n
- Working specifically with pre-pierce and cut-off tools \n
- Diagnosing tooling faults and carrying out repairs and modifications \n
- Supporting production breakdowns and minimising downtime \n
- Manufacturing new tooling and components \n
- Operating manual and CNC toolroom machinery \n
- Surface grinding, milling and turning \n
- Working from engineering drawings to specified tolerances \n
- Supporting tooling try-outs and continuous improvement activities \n
We're particularly interested in hearing from experienced Toolmakers who have:

- Hands-on experience of pre-pierce and cut-off tooling – essential \n
- A background in press tooling and/or roll-forming tooling \n
- Experience manufacturing, repairing and maintaining tooling – rather than solely machining components \n
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills \n
- Manual machining experience including milling, turning and surface grinding \n
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work accurately to tolerances \n
- Experience of CNC machining and/or wire EDM would be advantageous \n
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to support production when tooling problems arise \n
