Project Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent in the Lea Bridge Road, London area who is looking for a new permanent position working within the Civil Engineering and Water Utilities industry.

\n


\n

The purpose of this role is to ensure successful delivery on site of a range of mains renewals schemes. The role covers the schemes in the London region. The ideal candidate will have experience managing infrastructure projects, ideally in water mains or utilities, with a strong understanding of site operations, health & safety, and quality standards.

Role Responsibilities

\n


\n

Project Coordination:

\n

Oversee daily site operations to ensure timely delivery of water main replacement works, coordinating closely with site teams and subcontractors.

\n


\n

Material & Equipment Management:

\n

Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to site teams, preventing delays and maintaining workflow efficiency.

\n


\n

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

\n

Uphold and enforce all HSE standards on-site, conducting regular inspections and promoting a culture of safety.

\n


\n

Stakeholder Communication:

\n

Liaise with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships.

\n


\n

Team Leadership:

\n

Lead and motivate site personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment aligned with the companies values.

\n


\n

Progress Monitoring & Reporting:

\n

Track project milestones, maintain accurate site records, and report progress to senior management, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.

\n


\n

Quality Assurance:

\n

Ensure all works meet required specifications and standards, conducting inspections and managing quality control documentation.

\n


\n

Problem Solving:

\n

Respond swiftly to site challenges, including logistical issues or unforeseen delays, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.

\n


\n

Cost Control:

\n

Monitor site expenditures, manage resources efficiently, and support the commercial team in maintaining budgetary control.

\n


\n

Continuous Improvement:

\n

Contribute to process improvements and innovation, helping the company set new benchmarks in water infrastructure delivery.

\n


\n

Candidate Experience Required:

\n
    \n
  • Experience managing infrastructure projects, ideally in water mains or utilities, with a strong understanding of site operations, health & safety, and quality standards.
  • \n
  • Proven ability to manage the timely delivery of materials and equipment to field teams, avoiding delays and ensuring smooth project progression
  • \n
  • Experience leading site teams and subcontractors, while effectively liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to maintain project momentum.
  • \n
  • Full driving license.
  • \n
  • Water Hygiene EUSR Card
  • \n
  • NRSWA – Unit 10 (or equivalent), backfilling and reinstating.
  • \n
  • Cable Avoidance/Safe Digging
  • \n
  • First AID
  • \n
  • Able to utilise basic I.T programmes (excel, word and outlook)
  • \n
  • Temporary Works Supervisor (desirable)
  • \n
  • Slinger/Signaller (desirable)
  • \n
  • NPORS Traffic Marshall or Banksmen (desirable)
