Specialisms:Trading Compliance VP (Rates / FX / EM Focus)Global Investment Bank | London | Hybrid (3 days in office)We are partnering with a leading global investment bank to hire a Vice President within Trading Compliance, supporting a high-performing Sales & Trading franchise. This role sits directly aligned to the trading floor, providing real-time advisory and oversight to desks covering Rates, FX and Emerging Markets.The OpportunityThis is a front-office aligned compliance advisory role, working closely with traders, sales and structuring teams across core trading products. The platform is performing strongly, offering excellent exposure, visibility, and genuine internal mobility opportunities within a top-tier investment bank.The team is specifically seeking individuals with deep product expertise—this is not a generalist advisory role. Candidates should come from environments where they have supported active trading desks and can operate credibly in a fast-paced, specialist setting.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day compliance advisory to trading and sales teams (Rates, FX, EM)Partner closely with the front office on product governance, client activity and risk managementOffer guidance on complex transactions, new products and structuring activityIdentify and manage conduct and regulatory risks, escalating where appropriateCollaborate with global compliance, risk, and control functions to ensure robust frameworksContribute to the development of a strong risk culture and control environmentCoverage AreaThe business spans:Fixed Income Rates (e.g. sovereign bonds, interest rate derivatives)FX (spot, forwards, swaps, options)Emerging Markets products and solutionsSupporting market-making and client solutions across global institutional clientsCandidate ProfileProven experience in a Compliance Advisory / Business Oversight role within a tier-one investment bankStrong product knowledge in Rates, FX or closely aligned areas (e.g. Credit)Experience working directly with trading desks / on the trading floorSolid understanding of global regulatory frameworks and market conduct riskAbility to challenge and influence senior stakeholders in a commercial environmentStrong judgement, communication skills, and ability to manage competing prioritiesAdditional ContextThe team is open to high-potential AVP-level candidates stepping up to VPStrong preference for specialists over generalists—candidates from smaller institutions with broad coverage are less alignedHybrid working model (3 days in office) with a strong emphasis on work-life balanceHigh-performing business with clear internal mobility opportunitiesBarclay Simpson – the trusted name in Compliance recruitment: This job was published by Barclay Simpson: We seek individuals from a diverse talent pool and encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply to our vacancies.
