Job Description
We are working with a successful SME logistics business in Banbury that is looking for a Scheduling Administrator to take ownership of the day-to-day scheduling administration, ensuring consignments are planned, tracked and delivered efficiently and on time.This is a hands-on coordination role where you'll be responsible for planning local deliveries, coordinating driver routes and schedules, monitoring consignments and keeping customers and internal teams updated throughout the process.You'll be the person making sure the detail is right, issues are picked up quickly and the operation keeps moving. This position would suit someone who enjoys a busy, fast-paced environment, as well as working independently.As Scheduling Administrator, you will be responsible for:Planning and coordinating daily deliveries and driver routesMonitoring consignments from collection through to deliveryLiaising with Customer Services and providing regular ETA updatesManaging delivery discrepancies, failed deliveries and held consignmentsPreparing information and data for daily operational meetingsUploading paperwork, labels, manifests and relevant consignment informationManaging changes to collection dates, pallet types and chargesKeeping the Transport Management System and depot network information up to dateMonitoring scanning performance and operational KPIsManaging driver communications and second-run schedulesDealing with internal and external queries and customer complaintsArranging couriers when required and tracking associated costsSupporting weekly invoicing, self-bill amendments and credit queriesEnsuring all consignments are correctly uploaded and transferred as requiredHelping to train colleagues on the processEnsuring processes comply with relevant safety and operational requirementsAs Scheduling Administrator, you must be/have:Experience of logistics planning or coordinationExperience using a Transport Management System (TMS)Excellent organisation and attention to detailThe ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environmentA proactive approach and the confidence to react quickly when plans changeStrong written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work independently and take ownership of your workloadA practical, problem-solving approachThis is a great opportunity to join an established and busy logistics operation where you'll play a key role in keeping the day-to-day transport function running smoothly.
