HGV MechanicJob Location: Ferndown, DorsetJob Type: PermanentSalary: £12.71 - £21.10 per hour / £28,089.10 - £46,632.30 per annum, depending on level of experienceHours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday Friday, 8am 5pmWe are currently recruiting for a HGV Mechanic for a busy & well-established family run business.Key duties:Repair vehicles (mainly HGV but there would also be light vehicles to work on too) and make routine maintenance checks to ensure that the vehicle is running as it should be.Perform diagnostic work on vehicles to resolve issues using relevant diagnostic equipment.Ensure vehicle servicing activities are completed in a safe and high-quality manner in line with both internal and manufacturer requirements.Good technical knowledge of a wide range of vehicles and a high level of attention to detail.Possess the ability to work well with customers, maintaining a patient and friendly attitude.Requirements needed for the role:Minimum of 3 years of Vehicle Technician experience since being qualifiedQualified to City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3Effective diagnostic skillsA strong interest in motor vehiclesA class 1 or 2 licence would be an advantage but not essentialA solid interest and/or experience in vehicle diagnostics and electric/hybrid vehicles would be advantageous as we potentially see this role progressingwithin the field.For more information on these positions, please call our recruitment team directly on 01202 686000 or by emailing your CV.TPBN1_UKTJ
