Business Development Manager | Gillingham, Kent | Full Time 37.5 hours per week | £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualificationsAre you a driven Business Development professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact within the education and training sector?Our client is a non-profit organisation which focuses on offering quality Accountancy, Health Care and other specialist training courses.They are now looking to add a bright and ambitious Business Development Manager to the team. This position would best suit professionals who are focused on growing the business and extending the reach of its products and services in order to increase the companys revenue.The RoleThe Business Development Manager will report directly to the Head of Centre with responsibility to identify and maintain strong relationships with existing and new apprentices, employers and organisations they work with.The role includes ensuring that the company is operating effectively, liaising with learners, employers, parents and organisations and providing support for the smooth operations of the centre.Key ResponsibilitiesSeeking new business, employers and creating new strategies to successfully reach new businessBuilding and maintaining relationships with all partiesSeeking new learners, parents, referral organisations and schools to create new strategies and outreach activities to successfully reach new businessAttending events at different schools to build relationships with schools, learners and employers and staying up-to-date with new trendsCreating monthly targets for new learners, parents and employers and actively working towards reaching themPossessing a strong understanding of the organisations values and attitude in the industry and having the ability to sell servicesCompleting any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the businessRequirementsEssentialPrevious Business Development Manager experience within the educational sectorAbility to adapt roles and responsibilities to suit the needs of the business as it growsSolid understanding of business and marketing principlesExcellent time management skills, problem-solving skills and ability to multitaskStrong leadership qualities to lead a teamAbility to motivate yourself and othersExcellent customer service skillsStrong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software applicationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency in EnglishAbility to maintain confidentiality and act with discretionEnergetic, organised, keen to learn and make a positive impactDesirablePrevious experience within the educational sectorWhats In It For YouSalary of £32,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience and qualifications20 days annual leave plus 8 statutory bank holidaysEmployer Pension contributionsOpportunity to work for a non-profit organisation focused on delivering specialist training coursesWhats next?
