\nWhat You'll Do:
\nYolk Recruitment is supporting a leading global manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join its Cardiff operation.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly skilled maintenance team within a well-established industrial environment where safety, reliability and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. You'll play a key role in maintaining critical plant equipment, supporting production performance, and helping deliver high standards of operational excellence.
\nKey responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding on electrical and instrumentation systems. \n
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing motors, drives and associated control equipment. \n
- Supporting the commissioning, calibration and maintenance of process control and measurement systems. \n
- Working on safety-critical equipment including pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation. \n
- Maintaining hazardous area equipment in line with industry regulations and site procedures. \n
- Completing planned preventative maintenance activities and updating maintenance records. \n
- Contributing to continuous improvement projects aimed at improving plant reliability and efficiency. \n
What You'll Bring:
\n- \n
- Time-served apprenticeship or recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline. \n
- Experience working within a manufacturing, chemical, process, industrial or heavy engineering environment. \n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. \n
- Knowledge of instrumentation, calibration, and process control systems. \n
- A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving. \n
- Excellent awareness of health, safety, and quality standards. \n
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment. \n
- Experience using maintenance management systems and technical documentation. \n
