The Permanent Division of Robert Half is excited to be working on a retained basis with Premier Cables/IEWC in Bedford to assist with the recruitment of an EMEA Finance Manager
\nIEWC is a leading supplier of wire, cable, and wire management products and also specializes in manufacturing value added solutions. The organization has grown organically and through acquisition during its 60-year history and today is comprised of six companies: IEWC, Cablcon, Jupiter Communications, Premier Cables, Bevco & Simcona.
\nPremier Cables has recently located to a larger site in Bedford to accommodate the 3-5 year growth plan. Employing c.65 employees - this is the base for the EMEA operation which has presence in mainland Germany.
\nThe Role
\nThe EMEA Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial management and reporting operations for the EMEA business, covering entities in the UK, Germany & Poland. Working in a fast-paced environment involving high-value inventory, complex supply chains, and import/export activities, you will manage the finance team, drive month-end reporting, control cash flow, and ensure compliance with UK and European accounting standards and tax regulations.
\nDay to day duties will consist of:

- Lead, mentor, and oversee the daily activities of the finance team \n
- Conduct performance reviews and develop the finance team to achieve departmental goals. \n
- Own the month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring complete balance sheet reconciliations and accurate P&L reporting. \n
- Produce monthly management account packs with clear commercial commentary on variances, margins, and operational KPIs. \n
- Present accurate and timely monthly financial reporting to the EMEA Finance Director. \n
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. \n
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. \n
- Prepare the quarterly and annual EMEA forecasts in coordination with department heads and IEWC Group. \n
- Oversee inventory valuation, stock reconciliations, and cost of goods sold analysis across warehouse operations. \n
- Monitor product costing \n
- Manage short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting, working capital optimisation, and foreign currency/exchange rate exposures (GBP, EUR, USD). \n
- Ensure full compliance with UK tax regulations, including standard and import VAT (PVA), duty tariffs, and Intrastat/customs reporting. \n
- Lead the annual external audit process and act as the primary contact for auditors and tax advisors. \n
- Partner with department heads to analyse product line profitability and pricing structures. \n
- Support investment decisions, capital expenditure (CapEx) appraisals, and ERP/system enhancements. \n
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. \n
Your Profile
\nYou will be a Qualified Accountant with a "can do" Approach to financial issues and with excellent team management skills and the ability to take ownership and accountability for cross functional issues and commercial support. Previous experience of UK/US GAAP would be beneficial as would Rubicon or SAP exposure. You will be interpersonally effective and looking for a strong opportunity to develop skills and experience in a fast moving business.
\nSalary and Benefits
\nThe role of EMEA Finance Manager for Premier Cables in Bedford is offering a salary of £65-75K will be working in the office 4 days a week sometimes 5.
