BogleSheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established Chartered Accountancy practice based in North London, which is looking for an experienced Client Manager to join its team.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with at least five years' solid post-qualification experience who is confident managing a portfolio of clients independently and enjoys working across accounts, audit and tax.The RoleAs Client Manager, you will take responsibility for your own portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring a high standard of service is delivered across a range of accounting and compliance requirements.Your responsibilities will include:\n

- Managing a portfolio of clients independently, building strong and trusted relationships. \n
- Preparing and reviewing accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, which will form the majority of the role. \n
- Managing and running audit assignments, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently. \n
- Preparing corporation tax returns in conjunction with the limited company accounts. \n
- Independently preparing, collating and submitting personal tax returns to HMRC, with responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 70 returns. \n
- Reviewing VAT and Making Tax Digital (MTD) work and overseeing submissions, with occasional preparation where required. \n
- Liaising confidently with clients by telephone and email, responding to queries and providing a professional and proactive service. \n
- Working closely with colleagues across the practice to ensure client work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. \n
- Identifying opportunities to add value to client relationships and contributing to the continued development of the practice. \n

- A recognised accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA. \n
- At least five years' solid post-qualification experience, ideally gained within a UK Chartered Accountancy practice. \n
- Strong experience in accounts preparation, with the ability to review work where required. \n
- Previous experience of audit, corporation tax and personal tax. \n
- Experience preparing and submitting personal tax returns independently. \n
- Good knowledge of VAT and Making Tax Digital requirements. \n
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with confidence communicating by phone and email. \n
- The ability to manage a portfolio of clients independently and prioritise competing deadlines. \n
- A proactive, commercially aware and client-focused approach. \n

- £50,000 - £55,000 salary, depending on experience \n
