Claims Handler - insurance/construction - hybrid following probation

Our client is looking for a professional with claim handling experience (ideally from the insurance sector) to join their team and manage their own clients' cases. This firm is very supportive of professional development and will support professional qualifications should you wish to pursue. This firm also has a rising stars academy you can access to progress into leadership roles should you want progression into management.

Duties will involve the following:

  • Looking after a range of cases, working alongside other teams to ensure cases are completed successfully.
  • \n
  • Communicating facts on all building solutions relating to claims. Ensuring you have full facts on each case prior to communication with clients.
  • \n
  • Examining documentation to ensure we are in full possession of the facts
  • \n
  • Liaising with our Surveyor or Civil Engineer who has attended site or analysed the documentation and images provided.
  • \n
  • Understand the works in process and state of progress with the claim and works carried out.
  • \n
  • Ensure the customer is updated throughout the repair process.
  • \n
  • Manage the customer, client, and claimant’s experience throughout the repair process.
  • \n
  • Working alongside the building solutions team to managing the jobs from start to completion and dealing with any issues
  • \n
  • Entering into discussions with the claimant in order to settle the claim
  • \n
  • Ensuring you keep the internal system up to date and communicate any issues internally
  • \n

  • Experience working within the claims/insurance/property repairs sectors

  • Claims handling experience
  • \n

HOURS OF WORK: 8:45-5:00pm Monday to Friday with 45 min Lunch

\n

HOLIDAY: 25 days plus bank holidays, an extra 16 hours of time off in lieu taken at no more than two-hour slots which equates to the total of 27 days plus bank holidays. An additional day is also given for your Birthday if it falls on a weekday.
