Technical Engineer – GeneratorsLocation: Andover / HybridSalary: £45,000 – £58,000 + £7,000 Car AllowanceType: PermanentHours: Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm | Friday 8am–4:30pmI’m currently working with an established business within the power generation and critical power sector who are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Engineer – Generators to join their growing team.This is a great opportunity for an experienced Generator Engineer who is looking to move into a more technically focused role, whilst still maintaining exposure to customers, engineers and site-based activities.The role is predominantly office-based with occasional site visits and will involve providing technical support across a wide range of generator systems.The Role\n

- Providing technical support to engineers, customers and internal teams \n
- Monitoring generator fleets using DSE Webnet \n
- Supporting engineers with technical queries and reports \n
- Providing technical support to Maintenance Coordinators \n
- Supporting product updates and supplier meetings \n
- Assisting with product development and technical improvements \n
- Providing out-of-hours technical support when required \n
- Carrying out and supporting site audits \n
- Assisting with technical quotations \n
- Supporting engineer training and development \n
- Supporting engineering quality control \n
- Managing warranty and after-sales technical issues \n
- Compiling RAMS \n
- Troubleshooting and providing technical guidance across generator systems \n
- \n
- 3+ years’ experience within the generator industry or similar \n
- Strong practical knowledge of generators and UPS systems \n
- Experience with fuel tank installations \n
- Knowledge of ComAp / Deep Sea control systems \n
- Experience with multi-set and mains synchronisation \n
- Experience using ComAp PC Suite, DSE Configuration Suite or similar \n
- PLC programming experience \n
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office \n
- Good customer-facing and communication skills \n
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently \n
