\nWe are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a major office relocation, data centre migration, and network transformation programme. This includes the deployment of a new FX trading platform, migration of critical network infrastructure, and the relocation of services across multiple sites and data centres.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the migration and implementation of Arista, Aruba, and Cisco networking technologies, alongside Layer 2 and Layer 3 telecoms migrations. You will work closely with third-party telecom providers to migrate existing circuits and services while ensuring minimal disruption to business-critical operations.
\nThis is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical expertise across both physical infrastructure and logical network migrations. The position will involve working within fast-paced, highly available environments and will require occasional out-of-hours support for cutovers, implementation windows, and post-migration validation.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Support the planning, implementation, and execution of office relocation and data centre migration activities. \n
- Deploy and migrate network infrastructure using Arista, Aruba, and Cisco technologies. \n
- Perform Layer 2 and Layer 3 network migrations, ensuring service continuity and network stability. \n
- Coordinate with telecom providers to migrate WAN circuits, carrier services, and existing connectivity. \n
- Execute network cutovers, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities. \n
- Install, patch, and manage physical network infrastructure, including copper and fibre cabling. \n
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, migration runbooks, and implementation plans. \n
- Work closely with infrastructure, telecoms, and business stakeholders across multiple locations. \n
- Provide out-of-hours support during critical migration and implementation phases. \n
Required Experience

- Proven track record delivering: \n
- Office relocation projects \n
- Data centre migration programmes \n
- Network implementations supporting trading platforms or other business-critical systems \n
Strong hands-on experience with:

- Cisco networking technologies \n
Excellent understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including:

- VLANs \n
- Trunking \n
- Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) \n
- Link Aggregation Control Protocol(LACP) \n
- IP addressing \n
- Interface configuration \n
- Connectivity testing and troubleshooting \n
- Multicast networking \n
- Experience delivering telecom and WAN migrations, including carrier transitions and service handovers. \n
- Experience working directly with telecom providers and network carriers to migrate and validate services. \n
Strong practical cabling experience, including:

- Cable routing and management \n
- Labelling standards \n
- Physical infrastructure best practice \n
Preferred Experience

- Financial services, capital markets, or trading environment experience. \n
- Experience supporting low-latency or business-critical platforms. \n
- Knowledge of multicast networking within trading environments. \n
- Experience with Infinera or optical transport platforms. \n
