Salary: £40.59per hour

We are looking for a Sessional Tutors to join our team.

As a Sessional Tutor for Biology your role would involve:

\n
• Preparing and delivering modules in Biology to international students studying on programmes offered by the College.
\n
• Assisting with the development of module.
\n
• Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, including re-sit examinations, marking and providing feedback to students.
\n
• Participating in standardisation and moderation processes, including double marking.
\n
• Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process.
\n
• Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance.
\n
• Any other duties as required by the College Director, Academic Director and the Programme Leaders.
\n

What you’ll bring to the role

\n
• Experience of teaching to post 16 students (a teaching qualification would be an advantage).
\n
• The ability to plan, deliver and review a range of learning activities that guide and support students to achieve and flourish.
\n
• The ability to develop and update innovative teaching material that engages all students.
\n
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a range of different teams in order to continually improve the student experience.
\n
• Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
\n
• A strong commitment to continuous professional development and a proven track record of using this to enhance the student experience.
\n
• Demonstrable experience of using technology to inform teaching practice and a willingness to embrace innovations.
\n
• A Post Graduate qualification but strong first degree or relevant professional experience will be considered.
\n
• If teaching English language, then a DELTA or equivalent qualification. Those with CELTA plus relevant experience will also be considered.
