Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Office Fit-Out
\nLocation: Salford / Sites across Manchester
\nSalary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE
\nWorking: Office & site based, with 1 day WFH
\nStart: ASAP - ideally by 28 September 2026
\nThe Opportunity
\nOur client, a successful commercial fit-out business based in Salford, is looking for an ambitious Assistant Project Manager / Junior Project Manager to join their team.
\nThis is an ideal opportunity for a Junior/Assistant QS with around 2 years' post-graduate experience who is ready to take the next step into Project Management.
\nYou'll work closely with a Senior Project Manager on larger CAT A and CAT B office fit-out projects, whilst being given the opportunity to take ownership of your own smaller projects. It's a genuine career progression role, designed to develop you into a Project Manager and ultimately a Senior PM over the long term.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Support Senior PMs in delivering larger commercial office fit-out projects. \n
- Manage smaller projects independently, typically £10K-£100K in value. \n
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients. \n
- Attend sites across Manchester and monitor progress, quality and programme. \n
- Assist with project budgets, valuations, variations and procurement. \n
- Attend client meetings and provide project updates. \n
- Help identify and resolve project issues and risks. \n
- Coordinate design information and ensure projects are delivered safely and to programme. \n
- Build strong relationships with Estates, Landlords and other key stakeholders. \n
About You
\nYou'll ideally have:
\n- \n
- Around 2 years' post-graduate construction experience. \n
- Commercial office fit-out experience, particularly CAT A/CAT B. \n
- Previous experience working on site. \n
- Strong commercial awareness and communication skills. \n
- The ambition to move into Project Management and progress into more senior roles. \n
