About the Role\n

\n We are looking for an experienced Electrical / Mechanical Field Service Fitter to join a growing engineering team based in Castleford.\n
\n
\n You will be responsible for the dismantling, inspection, repair, refurbishment, assembly and testing of pumps, working both within the workshop and at customer sites.\n
\n
\n This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a mechanical or electrical engineering background who has experience working with pumps, rotating equipment, electric motors or diesel pump sets.\n

Key Responsibilities\n
\n
\n
- \n
- De-contaminate pump units prior to inspection. \n
- Dismantle, inspect and report on the condition of pump units. \n
- Assemble and test pump sets. \n
- Identify required spare parts using engineering drawings. \n
- Produce detailed inspection reports. \n
- Carry out mechanical measurements of components and critical dimensions. \n
- Complete electrical inspections of pumps. \n
- Repair and maintain diesel pump sets. \n
- Carry out fault finding and identify issues with equipment. \n
- Assist with on-site service and repair work when required. \n
- Collect and deliver pumps and equipment where necessary. \n
- Work alongside other departments when required. \n
- Follow all company procedures, policies, work instructions and Health & Safety requirements. \n

About You\n
\n
\n The successful candidate will ideally have:\n
\n
\n
- \n
- A mechanical or electrical apprenticeship, engineering qualification or be time-served. \n
- Previous experience working with pumps and rotating equipment. \n
- Experience with electric motors and control equipment. \n
- Experience with diesel pump sets. \n
- Good fault-finding skills. \n
- The ability to read and understand engineering drawings. \n
- A full UK driving licence. \n
- A hands-on approach and the ability to work independently. \n
- Good teamwork and communication skills. \n
- A proactive, flexible and problem-solving attitude. \n
- The ability and willingness to learn new skills.

- CSCS Card. \n
- Confined Space training. \n
- Overhead Crane / Lifting & Slinging Operator Licence. \n
- Water Hygiene qualification. \n
- ATEX experience or knowledge. \n
- Forklift licence. \n
