Job Description Key responsibilities include: Lead end-to-end procurement processes in line with public sector regulationsDevelop and deliver category strategies and sourcing plansManage supplier negotiations to achieve value for moneyAct as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and frontline teamsDraft tender documentation and support business case developmentOversee contract performance, risk, and complianceManage key supplier relationships and drive continuous improvementSupport critical contracts and complex commercial activityMentor junior colleagues and promote best practiceThe Successful Applicant A successful Commercial Lead should have:Demonstrable experience in procurement or commercial roles within the public sector.Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.Proven ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.Competence in analysing market trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Strong organisational and communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders.What's on OfferDay rate of 600 - 700 dependant on experience Interim contract offering flexibility and variety in the public sector.Hybrid working pattern.
