Whether its engineering, broadcast, legal, logistics, security, event management, commercial, media rights, marketing, or communications there is always a talented team working to maximise the potential of the sport.Role Overview: Formula 1 are seeking a Senior Strategy Manager within the Strategy & Transformation department helping define and deliver the long-term Corporate Strategy and vision for Formula 1. This will involve working closely with the Formula 1 Leadership team, Directors of its commercial and technical divisions, finance teams and other key support functions – with senior level exposure from day 1. Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Strategy Manager your role will be to support the Strategy team across four main areas of activity:Support definition of a long-term vision and strategy for Formula 1:Set an ambitious strategy for growth – defining the overall F1 Corporate Strategy, key growth drivers, revenue targets and goals / KPIsEvaluate macroeconomic and industry trends impacting F1 and use these to develop and refine medium / long-term strategies as requiredContinuously evaluate business performance against 1, 3 and 5 year plansSupport the annual strategic planning and budgeting process:Partner with senior leadership and department Directors to define strategies and roadmaps that deliver against the Corporate StrategyReview of strategic initiatives vs benchmarks and revenue targetsPrepare detailed financial models, presentations and additional materials for key strategy outputs including regular shareholder updates, budgeting, business reporting and other strategic planning sessionsOperate as a strategic business partner to your designated departments:Provide dedicated support to your partnered business areas – building an in-depth knowledge of the department and the core value driversProvide insights that support the identification of new opportunities and other ad-hoc support to enable departments to achieve their goalsCreate business cases for material growth opportunities and support launch into Business As Usual (BAU) operationsLead on Corporate Strategy projects that span multiple business areas:Identify and evaluate emerging ‘white spaces’ for long-term growthScope and lead corporate-level projects that span multiple departments and commercial teams e.g. strategic market growth, M&A opportunities, etc.What Are We Looking For?QualificationsBachelor's Degree minimumExperienceAttributes that may be advantageous to an applicant would be: 5+ years’ experience at a top tier strategy consultancy, investment bank or in-house strategy at a major corporateExperience of working in a fast-paced, high-performing team environmentProven track-record of leading strategic projects end-to-end, demonstrating an ability to manage senior stakeholdersExperience in Sports, Media and Entertainment sectors advantageousKnowledge and SkillsStrong finance and numeracy skills, with the ability to understand complex data sets, as well as interrogate key financial statements Deep financial modelling skills – with advanced knowledge and experience of building Excel-based financial models for commercial deals, revenue forecasting and valuationStrong ability to create and deliver presentations that effectively communicate solutions and proposals to senior managementAbility to research and distil large amounts of information and viewpoints into logical and easily-digestible recommendationsStrong project scoping and organisational skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projectsStrong interpersonal skills with an approachable, friendly, constructive attitude and willingness to learnComfortable operating in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment with unpredictability, changing priorities and focusWhy join the force behind the sport?Joining F1 means becoming part of a team that values innovation, collaboration and personal growth.
