Strategic Supply chain Officer OR Strategic Supply Chain LeadWarton based (Hybrid 3-4 days per week on site)£34.99 (Officer) or £41.06 an hour (Lead) Umbrella Inside IR356 Month Contract initially.This is a great opportunity to work within one of the Uks leading Defence organisations based in Warton. Hybrid working 3-4 days per week on site.Typical duties include (but are not limited to):Support all sourcing and strategic activity for the defined supply chain requirements including negotiating pricing and contracting terms and conditions as applicableLead and influence supply strategies, via continuous improvement, to ensure an affordable, innovative and sustainable solution is being deliveredWork as a part of a cross functional team to interface across the Air business and with other teams and functions, e.g. PM, Project Control, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, LegalEngage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the supply chain provision meets the governance requirements of the business and our customers and delivers optimum value for money.Lead and support Programme Reviews with topical reporting dataManage Supplier risk and drive supply chain resilienceThe role reports on a day-to-day basis to one of the Supply Chain Executives.Knowledge:Essential:A Continuous Improvement mind-set with proven examples of identifying new ideas that drive improvement, problem solving and working collaboratively with others to identify a solution ideally within a Procurement (or similar) environmentDetailed understanding and experience of supplier risk and opportunity managementWorking understanding of tool sets and IT such as ERP systems, Microsoft Office programs particularly in Excel.Ability to compile data, analyse and propose recommendations through reports and presentationsSkills:Essential:Negotiation skills - experience of price and contractual terms and conditions negotiationsExcellent collaboration and communication skills, fostering close & trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholdersDesirable:Previous experience of managing strategic Supplier relationshipsQualifications:You will have, or be working towards CIPS or MCIPS or have a similar professional qualification OR hold a degree in a business-related subject (e.g. Economics, Business, Finance)For more information please contact Lauren Morley at JAM Recruitment or click apply.TPBN1_UKTJ
