This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems and making a positive difference to the local community.You do not need previous Council Tax experience to apply. Full training will be given, and we will support you to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills needed to succeed in the role.What you will be doing:Helping residents with Council Tax enquiries by phone, email, online and face to face.Listening carefully, understanding individual circumstances and helping people find the right information or next step.Looking into account issues, changes in circumstances, discounts, exemptions, payments and recovery queries.Working accurately with information and records, while respecting confidentiality and data protection.Supporting the team to provide a helpful, fair and reliable service to residents.About YouWe are looking for someone who is a genuine people person who is approachable, patient and able to communicate clearly with residents from all backgrounds. You will be good at solving issues, willing to ask questions, and able to stay calm and professional when dealing with sensitive or challenging situations.The right person will be organised, willing to learn and interested in public service.
