We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Manager to join our Restructuring & Insolvency team. You will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of appointments, providing strategic advice and leading a small team.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious insolvency professional looking to develop their leadership skills while working closely with Partners and Directors on complex restructuring assignments.Why Menzies?At Menzies, our culture is our cornerstone. From agile working to generous leave, we create space for what matters to you.ð Innovate with Purpose: We’re always looking for better ways to work—leveraging tech, simplifying complexities, and delivering value.ð Empathy at Our Core: We don’t just serve our clients; we build trusted relationships that stand the test of time.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintaining and progressing a portfolio of insolvency matters (predominantly corporate insolvencies)Managing the team including assisting with appraisalsEnsuring the team meet internal and statutory deadlines and manage their cases effectivelyCommunicating with key stakeholders, including: directors, shareholders and employeesAssisting the team with case strategy and holding regular portfolio review meetingsProviding training to the team where appropriateReviewing of the output of the teamSome involvement in business development activityProviding support and assistance to team members and partners when requiredMonitoring the progress of investigations within their portfolio. Skills, Knowledge & ExpertisePrevious experience in the Restructuring & Insolvency industryQualified by experience. CPI (or equivalent), JIEB or ACCA/ACA advantageousDemonstrable experience managing a portfolio of insolvency appointments independently.Strong knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and practice.Experience managing, supervising and developing junior staff.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.Ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines.High level of professionalism and attention to detail.Job BenefitsAt Menzies, we know that success starts with our people.
