You will work alongside global colleagues in Quantitative Research, Structuring, Trading, Sales, and Middle Office to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will help shape the design and evolution of our technology stack, ensuring our platform remains innovative and efficient. Your work will directly impact the way we run and grow our index business.Job Responsibilities:Lead and deliver specific projects within the global program of workCollaborate with and influence other technology teams to deliver user-focused solutionsDesign, develop, and maintain applications and software components for the Strategic Index deskPartner with business users to understand requirements and prioritize deliverablesApply Agile development methodologies to drive projects from inception to productionDrives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, incident/root-cause analysis), while establishing measurable validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale.Focus on testing and quality throughout the development cycleContribute to continuous improvement of platform design and capabilitiesTake ownership of work and drive projects to completionFoster a collaborative and inclusive team environmentStay current with industry trends and emerging technologiesCommunicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholdersRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:Strong technical background in object-oriented or functional programming (Python, Java, C++, or C#)Willingness to become proficient and develop in PythonProven track record of delivering high-quality, well-tested solutions in a controlled environmentExcellent interpersonal skills to interact confidently with business users and stakeholdersExperience with Agile development methodologiesDemonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and securityStrong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.Ability to take ownership of deliverables from requirements to productionCommitment to testing and producing reliable, maintainable softwareEnthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growthEagerness to make a real business impact and overcome challenges as part of a teamPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:Experience as an application developer in finance or investment banking (Market Risk, P&L, or financial modeling)Knowledge of Equities, FX, Credit, Rates, Commodities asset classes, or Index & Portfolio analyticsJ.P.
