In the UK, we work across defence, healthcare, government, safety and security, and transportation, helping to solve some of the country’s most complex challenges.The Role: We are recruiting an Infrastructure & Logistics Engineer (ILE) to work within a Mission‑Critical Systems and Systems Integration environment.You will support, maintain, and improve infrastructure and lab environments, working as part of a technical team while also taking ownership of tasks and technical solutions. The role involves hands‑on technical work, supporting users and systems that underpin critical operations. You’ll be comfortable working onmultiple tasks at the same time and flexible when required to meet project milestones.What You’ll DoSupport and maintain lab and infrastructure environmentsInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain hardware, software, and networksProvide hands‑on technical support, fault finding, and issue resolutionManage system setup, backups, and asset managementSupport customer sites with system installations and repairsWork closely with engineers, users, and team leads to deliver project objectivesAssist with project planning, reporting, and progress updatesCarry out testing of systems and network designsDevelop an understanding of Air Traffic Control systems and how they operateRequired skills:Experience in infrastructure, lab support, or systems engineering environmentsStrong technical and analytical problem‑solving skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamClear verbal and written communication skillsGood organisation, time management, and reliabilityCustomer‑focused with flexibility to support project needsConfident general IT skills across common software toolsDesirable Skills & ExperienceExperience installing and supporting hardware and software in lab environmentsExperience with Linux (Red Hat) and/or AIX (v5.2+)Experience with Windows Server administration and backupsBasic networking experience (e.g. Cisco or HP equipment)Understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP and DNSExperience working in mission‑critical or safety‑related environmentsWhat we do for you:At Leidos we are PASSIONATE about customer success, UNITED as a team and INSPIRED to make a difference.
