As part of our transformation, we are looking for a highly-skilled network automation engineer to join our Colo Infrastructure team.The team manage a highly available colocation network. You will design and build automation solutions that enable rapid deployment of new infrastructure and efficient management of existing infra whilst maintaining reliable operations.Key responsibilities of the role include:Building and evolving automation frameworks for network provisioning and lifecycle managementDeveloping infrastructure-as-code solutions using Python, Ansible, Terraform and Jinja2Integrating network automation into CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable deploymentsCreating APIs and self-service tooling for engineering teamsImplementing observability and telemetry solutions for performance and reliabilityPartnering with network, platform and security teams to deliver resilient, scalable systemsContributing to incident response and production reliabilityOn-call responsibilities for the most critical parts of the infrastructureWho are we looking for?We’re looking for a skilled network engineer with technical experience of managing high-performance, low-latency, scalable and resilient network infrastructure solutions.The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:Confident with Python and solid engineering fundamentals across testing, version control and CI/CDExperience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Jinja2; also must have experience leveraging AI tools, such as Claude CodeFamiliarity with Docker and KubernetesExposure to monitoring, observability or telemetry in distributed systemsPragmatic problem solver who can operate in ambiguity and take ownershipComfortable working in collaborative, fast-paced engineering teamsDeep understanding of networking fundamentals and ideally experience in network engineer in financial marketsWhy join us?Highly competitive compensation plus annual discretionary bonusLunch provided (via Just Eat for Business) and dedicated barista bar35 days’ annual leave9% company pension contributionsInformal dress code and excellent work/life balanceComprehensive healthcare and life assuranceCycle-to-work schemeMonthly company eventsG-Research is committed to cultivating and preserving an inclusive work environment.
