The team

The Private Client team advises a broad client base, from established Hertfordshire families through to high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals and wealthy families across London and the wider UK.

The team has developed a particularly strong reputation for its specialist work across:

• Estate planning and inheritance tax
\n
• Estate administration
\n
• Wills and lifetime planning
\n
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
\n
• Court of Protection and professional deputyship work
\n
• Trust creation and administration
\n
• Advising vulnerable clients and their families
\n

The team also works closely with the firm's Corporate, Property, Family and Employment departments, allowing Lawyers to develop long-term relationships with clients and their wider professional networks.

A significant proportion of work comes through existing clients and professional referrals, reflecting the strength of the team's client relationships and reputation.

The opportunity

You will join an established and growing Private Client team and will have the opportunity to handle a varied caseload of technically interesting matters, working with a sophisticated client base.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years' PQE in Private Client, or be a qualified Legal Executive (CILEX) with relevant experience

• Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of Private Client matters
\n
• The ability to manage matters with minimal supervision
\n
• A strong client-focused approach
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\n
• A proactive and commercially minded approach
\n
• The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different teams
\n
• Strong organisational and file management skills
\n

A qualification or accreditation such as STEP or SFE would be advantageous, although not essential
