Accounts Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Assistant Manager, you will...

• Managing a portfolio of clients, taking ownership of deadlines, workflow and resource planning
\n
• Preparing and reviewing medium-sized sets of statutory accounts, ensuring work is accurate and completed to a high standard
\n
• Preparing and reviewing Corporation Tax, VAT and other compliance work, identifying when specialist tax or VAT support is required
\n
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing advice and explaining financial information, variances and technical matters
\n
• Reviewing work completed by junior colleagues, addressing review points and supporting the development of the wider team
\n
• Identifying opportunities for additional services, supporting fee discussions and ensuring work is delivered within agreed scope and budgets

Requirements:

As an Accounts Assistant Manager, you will need...

• ACA / ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience with a strong accountancy practice background
\n
• Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice
\n
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts, Corporation Tax and VAT, with the ability to identify when additional support is required
\n
