\nRecognised and recommended by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, this top-tier firm is now seeking a Newly Qualified (NQ) Employment Solicitor to join its highly regarded Employment Department.
\nThe Employment team advises both employees and employers on a wide range of employment law matters and represents clients in Employment Tribunals, County Courts, and the High Court. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor to develop their expertise within a supportive environment, working alongside experienced Employment Law specialists on high-quality and varied matters.
\nDuties and responsibilities

- Report directly to the Department Director. \n
- Manage a varied caseload of employment law matters from inception to conclusion. \n
- Advise and represent clients on matters including: Unfair Dismissal; Discrimination Claims; Redundancy; TUPE; Breach of Contract; Conduct and Workplace Issues; Settlement Agreements; Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution \n
- Undertake advocacy where appropriate. \n
- Attend client meetings, take instructions, and prepare cases. \n
- Draft legal documents, witness statements, and correspondence. \n
- Maintain accurate time recording and file management procedures. \n
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues when required. \n
- Implement recommendations arising from file reviews in a timely manner. \n
- Ensure compliance with departmental, regulatory, and firm-wide procedures. \n
- Contribute to business development activities and help generate new business opportunities. \n
Experience and qualifications
\n- \n
- Newly Qualified (NQ) Solicitor in England and Wales, ideally having completed an Employment Law seat during training, with a strong interest in pursuing a career in Employment Law. \n
- Hold a clean and valid Practising Certificate at the time of application. \n
- Demonstrable experience handling privately funded employment law matters. \n
- Strong technical knowledge of Employment Law and Employment Tribunal procedures. \n
- Experience undertaking your own advocacy is desirable. \n
- Excellent client care and communication skills. \n
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. \n
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. \n
- Proven ability to work effectively towards key performance indicators. \n
- Strong networking and business development skills. \n
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and case/document management systems. \n
- A professional, proactive, and team-oriented approach. \n
