Role: Employment Paralegal / Caseworker

\nThe Employment team advises both employees and employers on a wide range of employment law matters and represents clients in Employment Tribunals, County Courts, and the High Court. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor to develop their expertise within a supportive environment, working alongside experienced Employment Law specialists on high-quality and varied matters.
\nDuties and responsibilities

- Report directly to the Department Director. \n
- Professional pro-active approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients’ needs \n
- Assisting with casework including dealing with a range of Employment cases including all types of Discrimination claims; Unfair Dismissal; Redundancy; TUPE; negotiating Settlement Agreements; Mediation; Breach of Contract; Conduct matters and matters as well as undertaking your own advocacy \n
- Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases \n
- Dealing with correspondence \n
- Maintaining accurate time costing procedures \n
- Implementing any recommendations made by your supervisor following monthly file reviews ensuring that these are dealt with promptly \n
- Ensuring compliance with file management. \n
Experience and qualifications
\n- \n
- Demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of Employment Law \n
- A strong academic background with a Law degree \n
- Legal experience as an Employment Paralegal/Advisor \n
- Clear understanding and application of Employment Laws \n
- Business acumen and the ability to market the Company \n
- Excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people \n
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance \n
- Committed team player, self -motivated and professional \n
- Excellent IT Skills -familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills \n
