Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Pay: £95 per day

Start Date: September 2026

Reed Education are currently recruiting for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Doncaster. This role will be based within the school's dedicated internal SEND provision, supporting pupils with complex learning needs and helping them to access education in a safe, nurturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with complex learning needs.
\n
• Work closely with the provision lead, class teachers, SENCO and external professionals.
\n
• Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
\n
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
\n
• Promote independence, engagement and positive behaviours.
\n
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
\n

\n
• Previous experience supporting children with complex learning needs within an educational or care setting.
\n
• Minimum Level 2 qualification relevant to Education, Childcare, Teaching Assistant practice or SEND support.
\n
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
\n
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
\n
