\nPay: £95 per day
\nStart Date: September 2026
\nReed Education are seeking an experienced Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Scunthorpe from September 2026.
\nThe school is looking for a confident and compassionate individual who has experience supporting children with behavioural needs, including those who are vulnerable, looked after, or have experienced trauma. You will play a key role in helping children feel safe, supported and ready to engage with learning.
The Role\n- \n
- Provide one-to-one and small group behavioural support. \n
- Build positive relationships that encourage trust and engagement. \n
- Support children with social, emotional and mental health needs. \n
- Use effective behaviour management techniques to promote positive outcomes. \n
- Assist pupils in developing emotional regulation and coping strategies. \n
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and safeguarding professionals. \n
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment. \n

- Previous experience working with vulnerable children, looked after children, or children affected by trauma. \n
- Strong behaviour management skills are essential. \n
- Minimum relevant Level 2 qualification in Education, Childcare, Teaching Assistant Practice, Youth Work, Health & Social Care or equivalent. \n
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging behaviour. \n
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice is highly desirable. \n
- Passionate about improving outcomes for children facing additional challenges. \n
