Composites FinisherLocation: BerinsfieldSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annumHours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7:00am - 3:00pm, including 30-minute lunch break)The OpportunityOur client, a leading manufacturer within the marine sector, is seeking an experienced GRP Composites Finisher to join their production team in Berinsfield.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in GRP finishing, gel coat repairs, paint finishing, or detailing to play a key role in producing high-quality components used in boat construction. Working within a skilled finishing team, you will be responsible for ensuring all moulded components meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect GRP mouldings and identify defects requiring reworkCarry out gel coat repairs to remove imperfections and mould joint linesPrepare and fair surfaces to achieve a high-quality finishPolish gel coat surfaces to an exceptional standardTrim GRP components using air saws, routers and diamond cutting discsSand and finish cut edges using abrasives and specialist toolsMaintain high workmanship and quality standards at all timesSupport other areas of the manufacturing process when requiredAssist with the training and development of new production operativesMaintain a clean, organised and safe working environmentEnsure correct use of PPE and compliance with HSE proceduresTake ownership and accountability for your work outputAbout YouThe successful candidate will demonstrate:Previous experience in GRP finishing, composite finishing, paint finishing or detailingStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to workAbility to achieve high-quality finishes consistentlyGood organisational skills and the ability to work to production deadlinesStrong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when requiredCommitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeepingDesirable ExperiencePrevious experience within the marine industryExperience working in a quality-driven manufacturing environmentKnowledge of composite materials and GRP boat-building processesWhat's on Offer?Competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000Monday to Friday working patternOpportunity to join a skilled and supportive production teamLong-term career prospects within a growing marine manufacturing businessThe chance to contribute to the production of premium-quality marine productsInterested?
