Fabric Engineer / Handyperson Location: NewcastleRate: £14.00 per hour PAYEDuration: 2-month temporary contractHours: Monday to FridayWe are currently recruiting on behalf of our FM client for a Fabric Engineer / Handyperson to work at a busy leisure centre in Newcastle.This is a temporary position providing cover for approximately 2 months , with the successful candidate responsible for carrying out a range of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site.Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across the leisure centreComplete general handyman and building maintenance tasksUndertake minor repairs to doors, locks, fixtures, fittings and general building fabricCarry out basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating works where requiredRespond to reactive maintenance requests and complete works efficientlyComplete planned maintenance tasks in line with the site's requirementsIdentify defects and report any issues requiring further attentionEnsure all work is completed safely and to a high standardMaintain accurate records of completed maintenance activitiesWork professionally around members of the public and site staffThe Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working as a Fabric Engineer, Maintenance Operative, Handyperson or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer .You should be confident carrying out general building maintenance and minor repairs, with the ability to work independently and manage reactive tasks effectively.Previous experience within facilities management or commercial maintenance environments would be advantageous.What We Offer £14.00 per hour PAYE2-month temporary contractMonday to Friday working hoursOpportunity to work with an established FM providerImmediate start availableDedicated support from your recruitment consultantIf you're an experienced Fabric Engineer / Handyperson looking for a short-term opportunity in Newcastle, please get in touch to discuss the role.TPBN1_UKTJ
