Job Description

- HIA Surveyor access in line with the Housing Grants Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, Building Safety Act 2022 and Building Regulations 2010, Procurement Act 2023 \n
- HIA Surveyor Evidence skill in Risk Assessment to ensure that services are delivered in line with Health and Safety Legislation relevant to the Constructions industry such as The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, British Standards, whether in whole or part. Construction Design & Management Regulations (CDM) 2015. The Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996. Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 \n
- HIA Surveyor Evidence of leadership and delivery of change within an organisation or team with the evidence of service development including innovation, service design and problem solving and evidence of achievement of service delivery outcomes and Key performance Indicators \n
- HIA Surveyor Skill in self-managing own workload , including Lone Working across the City, and resilience including working outside of standard office hours and occasional requirement to travel outside of Westminster Council to attend site visits and training \n
- Evidence of skilled in use of Information Technology including Microsoft Office, Databases and production and interpretation of scale drawings as required \n

- Ability to provide supportive leadership, empowering, enabling, motivating and developing the workforce to delivery high quality work and fostering a positive organisational culture through coaching and mentoring \n

- Ability to translate strategic objectives into operational plans. \n
- Advanced relationship and stakeholder management skills and skilled in written and verbal communication to influence and engage otherseffectively. \n
- Excellent financial and budget management skills including use of relevant software packages with the abilityto deliver economies through creative and efficient working practices. \n
- Flexible approach and demonstrated skills in working in partnership with other departments and organisations, acting as a ‘hub’ to coordinate services and specific issues across interested parties \n
- Customer driven – understands the customer needs that will support delivery of the business strategy and implements these where appropriate. \n
- Able to communicate clearly in English which is appropriate for the effective performance of the role. \n
- Empathy and the ability to understand vulnerable residents’ needs other than those relating to housing and provide excellent customer service with a knowledge of the enhanced duty of care when delivering services to vulnerable people. \n
- The ability to listen carefully to other viewpoints and resolve disputes through individualised approach including responding to complaints and to support residents to find alternative options depending on their eligibility. \n
Qualifications: HIA Surveyor

- Relevant professional qualification - Graduate in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline in the built environment. \n
- Evidence of continued professional, managerial and personal development e.g. membership of a relevant professional organisation (e.g. MRICS, MCIOB) or a clear plan and timetable for achieving this. \n
