Finance Manager

The Opportunity:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Finance Manager to join a growing North East-based services business operating across multiple entities. Following a recent restructure, this newly created role offers significant responsibility, visibility and autonomy, combining operational finance leadership, statutory compliance and systems improvement within a business investing in future growth and efficiency.Main Duties/Responsibilities:\n

• Lead and develop the transactional finance team
\n
• Oversee sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll activities
\n
• Ensure timely completion of VAT, CIS and other statutory obligations
\n
• Support and co-ordinate external audits across multiple entities
\n
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and controls
\n
• Act as finance lead for ERP and systems-related initiatives
\n
• Support automation and technology-led efficiency improvements
\n
• Assist with financial due diligence and acquisition integration activity
\n
• Partner with operational stakeholders across the wider business
\n

You Will Be/Have:\n

\n
• Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
\n
• Strong technical accounting and compliance knowledge
\n
• Previous experience managing or mentoring finance staff
\n
• Exposure to audit, VAT and statutory reporting requirements
\n
• Systems-savvy with a process improvement mindset
\n
• Commercially aware and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
\n
• A hands-on, collaborative and pragmatic approach
\n
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
\n
