At Swindon Borough Council, we are building a legal service that people genuinely want to be part of. The Role

\n

This is a broad and engaging litigation role offering exposure to a wide range of contentious matters across the Council’s responsibilities. Advocacy experience is welcomed, and you will have the opportunity to represent the Council in courts, tribunals and hearings where appropriate.

Why Swindon?

There is a real momentum around the Council at the moment. Swindon was shortlisted for “Most Improved Council” at the 2025 LGC Awards, whilst Chief Executive Sam Mowbray was shortlisted for “Chief Executive of the Year”. Behind those awards is a genuine focus on improvement, collaboration and long-term vision.
