Junior HRBP - luxury hospitality
Job Description
An established international luxury brand is seeking a Junior HR Business Partner to join its London-based HR team, supporting its UK Retail, Hospitality and operational populations.
\nThis is a broad, hands-on HRBP position offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle within a fast-paced, international luxury environment.
\nThe London office acts as the Global HQ and plays an important role in developing and driving global people initiatives, working alongside regional HR teams across the international business.
\nThe Junior HRBP will act as a dedicated partner to a predominantly frontline UK population across retail stores and hospitality operations, while also providing support to the Senior HR team across the UK Head Office population.
\nThe Role
\nThe Junior HRBP will be fully immersed across the HR lifecycle, acting as a hands-on partner to managers across the UK business.
\nKey responsibilities will include:

- Partnering with managers across UK Retail, Hospitality and other operational functions. \n
- Supporting the Senior HR team with people initiatives and transformation projects. \n
- Managing employee relations cases at the appropriate level and escalating complex or high-risk cases where necessary. \n
- Conducting and supporting investigations, ensuring advice remains legally compliant. \n
- Coaching and appropriately challenging managers to develop their people-management capability. \n
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance management and talent processes. \n
- Supporting annual performance and development review cycles. \n
- Delivering HR training to UK managers and employees. \n
- Supporting annual compensation and reward processes. \n
- Supporting the monthly payroll process. \n
- Managing maternity leave, sickness absence risk assessments, return-to-work plans and associated administration. \n
- Working with external providers where appropriate. \n
- Collecting and analysing HR data to identify trends and support business decision-making. \n
- Supporting HRIS data management and wider HR projects. \n
- Leading or supporting HR projects from inception through to delivery. \n
- Collaborating closely with HR Administration, HRIS, Payroll & Benefits, Talent Acquisition and other specialist HR functions. \n
Key Experience
\nCandidates should demonstrate:
\n- \n
- Hands-on Employee Relations experience, including investigations and case management. \n
- Experience supporting and advising line managers directly. \n
- Good knowledge of UK employment practices. \n
- Broad exposure across the employee lifecycle. \n
- Strong HR administration and organisational capability. \n
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and employee populations. \n
- Ability to balance ER/casework with projects and wider people initiatives. \n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills. \n
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of the needs of frontline managers. \n

Preferred Background
\nPrevious experience within luxury/premium retail, hospitality, private members' clubs, hotels, restaurants or other premium consumer-facing environments would be particularly relevant.
\nPrevious customer-facing experience within retail or hospitality would also be highly desirable.
\nExperience using major HR systems and data-analysis tools would be advantageous, as would a CIPD qualification or someone currently working towards one.
