Our long-standing manufacturing client, based in Bolton, is looking for an experienced and capable SeniorQuantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
\nThe company delivers complex manufacturing and engineering projects across a diverse range of industries, including nuclear, oil & gas, defence, marine, industrial, pharmaceutical, architectural and water.
\nWith a varied project portfolio and technically challenging work, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of commercially significant projects within a well-established manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n

Maintain comprehensive contract documentation, including applications for payment, quotations, variations and contractual notifications, ensuring all documentation is submitted in accordance with the relevant contract terms and conditions.

Monitor and control contract income and expenditure, including interim and final applications for payment, final accounts and recovery of outstanding or late payments.
\n - \n
Liaise with clients, Project Managers and Senior Management to ensure effective commercial management and resolution of contractual matters.

Produce accurate and timely monthly commercial reports for the Commercial Manager, including:

Cost & Value Reports (CVR)

Cashflow forecasts
\n - \n
Cost-to-complete forecasts
\n - \n
Turnover forecasts
\n - \n
WIP reports
\n - \n
Risk & opportunity registers
\n - \n
Earned Value Analysis

\n - \n

Ensure all commercial information is complete, accurate and submitted within required timescales.
\n - \n
Maintain full contractual and commercial compliance in accordance with company policies, procedures and governance requirements.
\n - \n
Take ownership of commercial performance throughout the full project lifecycle, from contract award through to final account.
\n - \n
Support and lead commercial negotiations, contractual discussions and dispute resolution where required.
\n

710 years' experience in a commercial or Quantity Surveying role within main contracting, manufacturing or project delivery.
\n - \n
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
\n - \n
Previous experience within manufacturing, steel works, engineering or industrial environments.
\n - \n
Strong working knowledge of JCT, NEC and IChemE contracts.
\n - \n
Proven experience managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects.
\n - \n
Demonstrable experience leading commercial negotiations and managing contractual disputes.
\n - \n
Strong financial and commercial acumen, with hands-on experience in CVR, forecasting, cost control and commercial reporting.
\n - \n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, project teams and senior management.

Up to £55,000 per annum
