Freight Forwarder

Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established and growing business in Belfast who are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder with a strong background in Deep Sea Import Operations & Customs Clearance.
\n This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, collaborative team where you'll take ownership of international shipments from origin through to final delivery, working closely with customers, shipping lines, customs authorities and transport providers.
Responsibilities

\n
• Managing end-to-end Deep-Sea Import shipments.
\n
• Coordinating bookings with shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents and other key stakeholders.
\n
• Tracking and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery.
\n
• Handling customs clearance processes and ensuring full compliance with regulations.
\n
• Preparing and processing import documentation including Bills of Lading and customs entries.
\n
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
\n
• Resolving shipment, customs and transport-related issues efficiently.
\n
• Providing proactive updates and exceptional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Criteria

\n
• Previous experience within Freight Forwarding
\n
• Strong knowledge of Deep-Sea Freight / Import Operations
\n
• Experience with customs procedures and customs clearance documentation
\n
• Excellent understanding of shipping and import documentation
\n
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
\n
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
\n
