Job Overview:The Senior Manager of Quality Operations is tasked with developing departmental plans, including business, production, and organizational priorities. The role requires multi-disciplinary expertise and the ability to understand the industry to achieve financial and operational objectives. The Senior Manager of Quality Operations manages multiple related teams, sets organizational priorities, and allocates the appropriate resources. They must identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organizational problems. The Senior Manager of Quality Operations directly impacts business results by supporting function-specific projects, products, services, and technologies and developing policies and plans. Essential Qualifications and Education:Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or equivalent experience/certification15+ years within the Energy Industry through all phases of EPCI project deliveryExtensive functional, industry, and leadership expertiseProfessional Membership in relevant institutionsAbility to work as a team member as well as act as a team leaderHave wide experience with technical activities related to the area of operationCommunication and presentation skills, both written and spokenBe conversant with local and international laws, codes, regulations, and normsProficient with multiple Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word #LI-LJ1Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Ensure that the tools, processes, procedures, and systems for welding and NDE operations are maintained and globally implementedSupport the strategic vision of the Company’s welding program globally and NDE program in fabrication yards Ensure that competent resources are maintained in all area operations for welding/NDEOversee maintenance and implementation of the Global QC Inspection PlatformInterface with the Supply chain as required on quality matters regarding vendors/subcontractorsEnsure that global documentation for the Quality Function within the management system is maintainedSupport areas with problems regarding welding, NDE, and vendor quality issued as requiredDevelop and maintain Global Quality Control Fabrication and Construction Weld Inspection PlatformMaintain contacts with internal welding engineering functions and external technical groups such as ASTM, DNV, EWIOversee the quality of vendors and subcontractors regarding pre-qualification and performance recommendationsLiaise with Area Management for vendor and subcontractor technical issuesSupport Quality Assurance oversight through reviews, audits, and surveillance as requestedConduct and assess Root Cause investigations and compile reportsCommunicate welding/NDE lessons learned across the organization and incorporate learning into the Management System and processesMaintain critical competencies associated with the Quality functionBecome familiar with all company and project specific Quality terms, requirements, and project deliverablesIdentify applicable regulatory requirements specific to the scope of work, including monitoring complianceEnsure Quality plans, procedures, and instructions are developed and implementedIdentify and assign appropriate Quality resources and developmentPrepare and maintain the Project Risk Register, Corrective Action Tracking, and Non-conformancesPrequalify project subcontractors and vendors as applicablePrepare project audit plans and conduct auditsPrepare and maintain Project Quality Activity PlansPrepare Quality performance reports and submission of same to the Functional LeadInitiate training needs analysis and coordinate the implementationProvide SME support to the company QHSES training department to include development and deliveryDevelop and oversee plans to meet project objectives, targets, and goals aligned to the areaLead or participate as SME in Incident Investigations and reportingProvide input into a look ahead plans and reports based on the project scheduleProvide input to MOCs and Lessons LearnedReview/Approve subcontractors and vendors for equipment and servicesConduct regular site or facility reviewsManage Nonconformance reporting, including corrective actions and actions to prevent a recurrenceAttend and provide input to forums such as kick-off meetings, constructability reviews, readiness reviews, etc. Own and lead the implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with all McDermott policies and proceduresEnsure employees understand their responsibility and authority to effectively implement the requirements of all McDermott policies and proceduresEnsure the timely completion of all mandatory training by themselves and their teamsFull timePosting Date: 2026-06-24
