Job Overview: The Senior Manager HSES manages multiple related teams, sets organizational priorities, and allocates appropriate resources. The role requires multi-disciplinary expertise and must be able to apply an understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness, provide guidance, and influence processes and policies for the HSES discipline as well as identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems that impact effectiveness. Essential Qualifications and Education:Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in HSES related field ten plus (10+) years of HSE experience within the Energy IndustryNEBOSH Diploma or equivalentTrained and experienced ISO standards lead auditor (9001, 14001 or 45001)Maintain key competencies associated with the HSES functionAbility to work as a team member as well as act as a team leaderHave wide experience with SURF (Subsea umblicals, risers & flowlines)fabrication & installation operations, including on and offshore marine operationsMaintain key competencies such as Basic Offshore Safety Induction Emergency Training (BOSIET), H2S Training, etc.Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken. Computer literate in Microsoft programs: Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Project#LI-JA1#LI-HybridKey Tasks and Responsibilities:Develop, implement, maintain, and improve the HSE management system in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policySupport the Development and management of HSES Budgets, Staffing requirements, and look-ahead schedulesManage HSES compliance strategy, business continuity and contingency planningRepresent the consortium HSES before client for reporting purposes or as required by project director Ensure that the correct level of manning for HSES activities (onshore &offshore) is maintainedTravel to project sites and cover for rotation staff on leave as requiredEnsure HSES readiness before marine campaignSchedule vessel visit during project execution and conduct inspectionsLiaise with client HSES representatives and ensure good rapportOversee HSES effectiveness, strategies, and improvement programsEnsure that all HSES functional personnel are performing as requiredLead or participate as SME in Incident Investigations and reportingHSE incidents, assess risk, and oversee corrective actionsMaintain statistics and metrics, determine performance trends, and prepare regular reportsPrepare HSES audit plans and conduct auditsFacilitate HAZID’s and other risk reviewsEnsure that the performance of all subcontractors is monitored and evaluatedProvide HSES input to Management of Changes (MOC’s) and Lessons LearnedOwn and lead the implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with all McDermott policies and proceduresEnsure employees understand their responsibility and authority to effectively implement the requirements of all McDermott policies and proceduresEnsure the timely completion of all mandatory training by themselves and their teamsReview / approve subcontractors and vendors for equipment and servicesEnsure MEDEVAC interfaces with client, vessels and onshore medical support are tested at periodic intervals and effectiveAttend and provide input to forums such as kick-off meetings, constructability reviews, readiness reviews, etc.Full timePosting Date: 2026-06-03
