Head of Finance and Operations - Technology Solutions Head of Finance and Operations - T to join our team in London, England (GB-ENG), United Kingdom (GB).Job Specification: Head of Finance and Operations – Technology Solutions EuropePosition OverviewThe CFO & Head of Operations for Technology Solutions Europe will lead both the financial and operational agenda of a $1.5 billion business unit within the European division ($3 billion) of an $18 billion global organization.This dual role is critical to driving transformational change: improving financial performance, optimizing operations, and enabling profitable growth. As both financial steward and operational leader, the role will focus on growing revenue, expanding margins, right-sizing the cost base, and strengthening operational execution.As a key business partner to the Head of Technology Solutions Europe, the role will also work closely with country heads, country CFOs, and functional leaders, ensuring alignment of finance, operations, and strategy across the region.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial LeadershipLead all financial management for Technology Solutions Europe, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.Partner with the Head of Technology Solutions to shape strategy, resource allocation, and performance outcomes.Drive financial transformation, ensuring transparency, accountability, and delivery against targets.Identify and execute margin improvement opportunities, including pricing, portfolio mix, and commercial performance.Oversee cash management, working capital, and investment appraisals to maximize financial returns.Operational LeadershipLead operational transformation across the Technology Solutions business to deliver efficiency, scalability, and improved profitability.Oversee the operating model, ensuring resources, processes, and structures are aligned with strategic priorities.Drive cost optimization initiatives, including workforce efficiency, vendor management, and process improvements.Implement KPIs, dashboards, and operational performance frameworks to enhance execution and accountability.Champion digital tools and automation to improve both financial and operational visibility.Turnaround & GrowthDesign and execute turnaround strategies to restore profitable growth.Lead initiatives to improve service delivery, customer satisfaction, and contract profitability.Partner with business leaders and country heads to capture growth opportunities, leveraging scale across markets.Balance short-term turnaround priorities with long-term strategic investments.Leadership & PeopleBuild and lead a high-performing finance and operations team, with a focus on business partnering and execution excellence.Develop cross-functional collaboration across finance, operations, commercial, and delivery teams.Act as a change agent, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.Mentor future leaders, ensuring a strong succession pipeline in both finance and operations.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.15+ years of progressive finance and/or operations leadership in a multinational, ideally in technology services/solutions, consulting, or professional services.Proven track record in turnaround management, cost transformation, and operational improvement.Strong P&L management experience, with exposure to both finance and operations accountability.Experience working in a complex, matrixed, multi-country environment.Demonstrated ability to partner with senior executives and country leaders to deliver transformation.Familiarity with digital/automation tools, ERP systems, and analytics platforms.Key CompetenciesStrategic Operator – balances financial strategy with operational execution.Change Leadership – proven ability to lead transformation at scale.Commercial Acumen – strong focus on revenue growth and value creation.Operational Excellence – disciplined approach to process, efficiency, and performance improvement.Influence & Gravitas – trusted partner to senior leaders, able to challenge constructively and build alignment.Resilience – capable of navigating complexity and delivering under pressure.Reporting LineReports to: Chief Financial Officer, EuropeBusiness Partner: Head of Technology Solutions EuropeKey Stakeholders: Country CFOs, Country Heads, Global Technology Solutions CFO, European CEO, Group CFOAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30 billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
