This senior role is ideal for a specialist litigator with deep expertise in disease claims, particularly within the insurance sector. The successful candidate will lead complex, high value matters, provide strategic support to key clients, and play a central role in the continued growth and development of the team.This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of disease litigation, including emerging risk areas, within a collaborative, high performing practice recognised for its sector strength.The RoleClient & Matter ManagementLead on complex, high value disease claims, including EL/PL matters and legacy/emerging disease risksProvide strategic, commercially focused advice to insurer and corporate clientsAct as a trusted adviser, building long term client relationshipsEnsure matters are managed efficiently, profitably and in line with SLAs and firm standardsTechnical Excellence & LeadershipDemonstrate advanced technical expertise across contentious, procedural and evidential aspects of disease litigationSupervise and mentor associates, senior associates and wider team membersContribute to knowledge sharing, technical training and thought leadershipBusiness Development & Profile RaisingSupport business development initiatives, pitches and tendersAssist with client relationship management and cross selling opportunitiesContribute to seminars, publications and client trainingTeam & Firm ContributionPromote a positive, inclusive and high performance team cultureSupport the strategic objectives of the Disease practiceCollaborate with colleagues across national and international officesCandidate RequirementsEssentialEngland & Wales qualified solicitor with significant PQE in disease litigationStrong background acting for insurers and/or large corporate defendantsProven ability to manage complex caseloads with limited supervisionExcellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy support skillsStrong commercial awareness and client focused approachExperience supervising and developing junior lawyersDesirableExperience leading or contributing to major group claims or legacy disease portfoliosInvolvement in business development or client relationship managementSector knowledge aligned with insurance and related marketsHow to ApplyFor further information or a confidential discussion, please contact Olivia Reed:Email: [email protected]: 0117 917 1515 / 07711 799761*At Chadwick Nott, we are committed to developing a diverse and inclusive culture as well as supporting our large client network achieve the same.
