The role favours people management, but remains technically involved, combining people development, resource planning, and delivery accountability with technical reviews and design sign-off.You will help strengthen engineering processes, improve quality and consistency, and ensure the team delivers against cost, quality and timescale expectations while working closely with stakeholders across the businessEssential Requirements of the Design Engineering ManagerEngineering degree, HNC/HND or equivalent technical educationDesign engineering experience within complex equipment, machinery, automation or a similar environmentExperience managing multidisciplinary engineering teamsKnowledge of CAD packages and structured design processes.Experience conducting technical reviews and design sign-offStrong people-development and performance-management skillsExperience improving engineering processes and ways of workingUnderstanding of quality, compliance and risk-assessment processesAbility to influence stakeholders and hold teams accountable for cost, quality and delivery.Desirable experience of the Design Engineering ManagerExperience using Fusion 360 or similar 3D CAD softwareBackground in automated test equipment, industrial machinery or complex electro-mechanical productsExperience working within a mid-high volume manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with JIRA or similar project and workload-management tools.If you feel you are suitable and interested in this role, APPLY NOW with an up-to-date CV.
