Senior Claims SurveyorLocation -WarringtonSalary/Package - £80,000 - £110,000 + Excellent Benefits PackageAbout the CompanyOur client is a well-established and growing construction contractor with an extensive track record delivering complex residential and major construction projects across the UK. The business operates across sectors including high-rise residential, Build to Rent, affordable housing, student accommodation, and specialist developments.With a strong pipeline of major projects and a focus on quality, commercial performance, and long-term client relationships, the business is continuing to strengthen its senior commercial function. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Claims Surveyor to take responsibility for complex contractual and commercial claims across major projects.The RoleAs Senior Claims Surveyor, you will take a lead role in the preparation, management, negotiation, and resolution of complex construction claims.You will work closely with senior commercial and project teams, clients, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure the company's contractual and commercial position is protected.Key responsibilities will include:Preparing and managing complex contractual claims across major construction projectsLeading Extension of Time (EOT), disruption, loss and expense, and associated claimsReviewing contracts and project records to establish entitlement and quantumPreparing detailed contractual and commercial submissionsNegotiating claims with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholdersProviding specialist contractual and claims advice to project and commercial teamsSupporting the preparation of matters for adjudication and wider dispute resolutionReviewing project documentation, programmes, records, correspondence, and commercial informationIdentifying potential claims and commercial risks at an early stageWorking alongside Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers to maximise contractual entitlementSupporting senior management with complex contractual and commercial mattersMaintaining strong, professional client relationships throughout the claims processThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Senior Claims Surveyor will have:10+ years' Quantity Surveying experienceSignificant experience working on major building, infrastructure, or complex construction projectsExtensive experience preparing and negotiating EOT, disruption, loss & expense, and contractual claimsProven experience managing claims from initial identification through to negotiation and resolutionExperience preparing documentation and evidence for adjudication and dispute proceedingsA Law Degree or strong legal/contractual backgroundStrong knowledge of construction contracts and contractual mechanismsPrevious experience working within a Tier 1 contractor or major-project environmentExcellent analytical and report-writing skillsStrong understanding of delay, disruption, quantum, and contractual entitlementExcellent negotiation and communication skillsStrong client-facing ability with the confidence to deal directly with senior stakeholdersRelevant professional qualification such as MRICS would be advantageousWhat's on Offer£80,000 - £110,000 salary depending on experienceExcellent benefits packageSenior specialist role within a growing construction businessOpportunity to work on major and technically complex construction projectsSignificant responsibility for high-value contractual claimsExposure to senior leadership and major client organisationsLong-term career progression and professional developmentSupportive and commercially focused working environmentApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities.
